Fully open source Jabber servers are now available for customer use. Jabber is a complete end-to-end encrypted and private messaging system comparable to WhatsApp or Signal, however does not leak metadata and is a fully private communications solution. Messages, voice, and video communications are all encrypted at point of origin and remains encrypted during data transmission and at rest when stored on the server.
